Saltgrass Steak House is a Texas based steak restaurant chain, with a long history. In 1952, the four Saltgrass Steak House founders retraced the route of Texas Longhorns in the 1800s, driven from North Texas to the Gulf Coast, where they grazed on the rich coastal salt grass. The founders' set up the Saltgrass Steak House along this historic trail. The first restaurant was a success, and many other locations have followed (around forty in operation today).
